Children’s Book Bank

Our Portland team has volunteered at the Children’s Book Bank, where we cleaned, repaired and sorted donated children’s books for distribution to local kiddos through their Building Home Libraries program for PreK kids and free school-wide book fairs for older students. We recalled and found some of our childhood favorites and can now add Book Repair Experts to our list of Kaya HR services!

Contact them if you have gently used kids books you’d like to donate or even if you or someone you know wants to hold a book drive!

Ronald McDonald House

We had the pleasure of preparing and serving a homemade meal for families staying at Portland’s Ronald McDonald House. It was a heartfelt experience where we got to connect with families in need and contribute to their comfort during challenging times.

Since opening in 1984, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Oregon has been a vital support system, offering a free place to stay for over 50,000 families. Their work is all about easing the burden on families with seriously ill children, all at no cost!

Oregon Humane Society

Our team visited the Oregon Humane Society, one of the oldest and most respected animal welfare organizations in the United States, founded in 1868. We spent time with several animals at the shelter in an effort to help them develop the social skills needed to find new homes, and learned more about the critical work OHS does to protect and advocate for pets in need.

If you’re passionate about animals and want to make a difference, consider volunteering or donating to the Oregon Humane Society to support their incredible mission!

Northwest Children’s Outreach

Our team had the opportunity to volunteer with Northwest Children’s Outreach (NCO), an organization dedicated to supporting families in need since its founding in March 2001. We worked alongside their dedicated staff to organize and prepare essential items such as diapers, clothing, books, and toys for distribution to over 500 care-providing agencies. Through this hands-on experience, we gained valuable insight into NCO’s impactful work, helping to provide vital resources to children and families in our community.

If you’re inspired to make a difference, consider volunteering or donating to Northwest Children’s Outreach to support their important mission!
